NYC Opportunity manages a dedicated annual Innovation Fund and works collaboratively with City agencies and other partners to create, implement, and oversee a range of anti-poverty programs, policies, and research projects. NYC Opportunity’s in-house evaluation team works with nationally recognized, independent evaluation firms and City agencies to rigorously measure program impacts and provide objective evidence to inform decisions of whether to replicate, eliminate, or scale up programs. NYC Opportunity partners with several units within the Mayor’s Office and City government to execute special projects such as Young Men’s Initiative (YMI), the Children’s Cabinet, Office of ThriveNYC, and the implementation of Executive Order 45 (EO45).
NYC Opportunity is searching for an Advisor to support the work of its Programs and Evaluation team. The Advisor will help to coordinate the design, implementation, program management, performance monitoring and evaluation for multiple NYC Opportunity initiatives and projects. In addition, the Advisor will contribute to the implementation of the citywide equity strategy created by EO45. The Advisor will have familiarity with program design and management, evaluation, research, and public policy related to poverty and equity.
Bachelor’s degree + at least one year relevant work experience.
Experience in government a plus.
